Light angel / licht engel

English below

Afkortingen:

v - vaste

st - stokje

hst - halfstokje

l - losse

hv - halve vaste

rdstv - relief dubbelstokje voor

rva - relief vaste achter

2vin1 - 2 vasten in 1 steek = 1 steek meerderen

2stin1 - 2 stokjes in 1 steek = 1 steek meerderen

3stin1 - 3 stokjes in 1 steek = 2 stokjes meerderen

2vsh - 2 vasten samen haken = 1 steek minderen

Opmerkingen:

Patroon:

1 - 6 v in een magische ring

2 - 2 v in elke vaste (=12)

3 - *1 v, 2vin1*, herhaal 6x (=18)

4 - *2vin1, 2 v*, herhaal 6x (=24)

5/11 - 24 v

12 - *2vsh, 2v*, herhaal 6x (=18)

13 - *2vsh, 1 v*, herhaal 6x (=12)

14 - 2vsh, herhaal 6x  (=6)

Eind toer 19 / Eind toer 22

English

Now that it gets dark quickly in the evening, the candles can be lit again. And how cozy is such a shining light angel. Hereby I have for you the pattern of this light bringer. This angel looks like the angel I posted a few years ago (look here) but is different.

Hight with lightball about 14 cm/5,5 inch

and without lightball 12 cm/4.7 inch

Materials:

cotton or other yarn for a 2,5 hook

hook 2,5 (2,75/C)

a little stuffing for the head

a sewing needle

a lightball of 8 cm or use a fake tealightcandle

Abbreviations:

sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet

hdc - half double crochet

ch - chain

ss - slip stitch

fptr - front post treble crochet

bpsc - back post single crochet

2scin1 - 2 single crochet in 1 stitch = increase 1 stitche

2dcin1 - 2 double crochet in 1 stitch = increase 1 stitche

3dcin1 - 3 double crochet in 1 stitch = increases 2 stitches

2sctog - 2 single crochet together = decrease

Notes:

  • Close every round with a slip stitch in the first stitch or 3rd starting chain

  • Start every round with ch1 if there is not noted a start ch

  • If you use a fake tealightcandle and you do not want to starch your angel then you need to crochet tightly to make a stiff fabric

Pattern:

1 - 6 sc in a magic loop

2 - 2 sc in each stitch (=12)

3 - *1 sc, 2scin1*, repeat 6 times (=18)

4 - *2scin1, 2 sc*, repeat 6 times (=24)

5/11 - 24 sc

12 - *2sctog, 2sc*, repeat 6 times (=18)

put a little stuffing in the head, not too much otherwise the head will be too heavy

13 - *2sctog, 1sc*, repeat 6 times (=12)

14 - *2sctog 6 times (=6)

15 - ch 2 (does not count as a stitch), 2 hdc in each stitch (=12 hdc)

16 - ch 2 (does not count as a stitch), 2 dc in each stitch (=24 dc)

17 - ch 2 (does not count as a stitch), *1 dc, 2dcin1*, repeat 12 times (=36 dc)

18 - ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2dc in the same stitch, ch 1, skip 2, *3dcin1, ch 1, skip 2*, repeat around (=12 ch 1 spaces)

19 - ss 1, ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), 1 sc in same stitch, 5 dc in next 1ch-space, *1 sc in second dc of the 3dc-group, 5 dc in next 1ch-space*, repeat * - * around (=12 fans)

20 - ss 1 (=first dc of first fan), ch 3 (count as first dc), * 3x 2dcin1, 1 dc, skip sc, 1 dc, 3x 2dcin1, 1 dc, skip 4 fans*, 1 dc in first dc of next fan, repeat * to * and close (= 32 dc)

21 - ch 3 (counts as first dc), ch 1, skip 1 dc, 1 dc between the next 2 dc (= between dc 2 and dc 3 of last round), ch 1, skip 2, * 1 dc between the next 2 dc, ch 1, skip 2 dc*, repeat * to * around (=16 ch1 spaces)

hint: the dc are made between the increase dc and between the fans of round 20

22 - ss to 1ch-space, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 3 dc in same ch1-space, 4 dc in next 1ch-space, repeat around (=64)

End row 19 / End row 22

23 - ch 3 (does not count as a stich), * skip 1 dc, 1 fptr around next dc, 1 fptr around skipped dc (you make a cross in front of the first fptr) *, repeat * to * around (=32 crosses)

If the skirt is starting to swirl, do not worry, it will come out okay!

24 to 28 - as round 23,

At the end of round 28, try if the light ball fits it has to fit real snug when you pull the last round around the lightball. If it is necessary repeat row 23 1 or more times to fit the lightball, and fasten off.

Thread a long piece of yarn through the stitches of the last round, put the lightball in the angel, pull tight, tie a knot and fasten off.

When you use a fake tealightcandle you do not fasten off on row 28.

Instead you crochet a round 29 with 64 bpsc and then fasten off

Enjoy your Light Angel
